What a good host actually does
The best hosts are not performers. They are editors.

The hosts people remember share almost nothing in terms of discipline, city, or temperament. What they share is restraint. They introduce two people and then leave. They let a silence run past the point of comfort. They do not narrate their own expertise.
The worst version of an experience is a performance with an audience. The best is a room where the host has arranged the conditions and then stepped fractionally out of frame.
This is the standard we ask every creator on Vignette to hold: design the moment, then disappear into it.
